Final Major Project

This series of windows and doors, I have been creative in using the available natural light. It was a bright day, and ideally I would have had softer lighting if I had waited for the golden hours. However due to commitments that was not possible. In post editing I have softened the light on the final image in this series. The final image made it into the exhibition of the half open door, revealing light on the other side. A feeling of encouragement and hope.

These last 3 doors work as a series in the door opening, first I am stood further away from the door, contemplating walking through it, I then approach it and peer through the door ajar. I open the door to reveal more light and what view is on the other side. The final image I have moved back again to appreciate the view and build up the courage to walk through it.

I then approach closer and peer through the door ajar. I open the door to reveal more light and what view is on the other side. The final image below, I have moved back again to appreciate the view and build up the courage to walk through it.
This image was chosen to close my exhibition as the final image representing hope and breaking down barriers. I have discovered what is on the other side is not always torment, punishment and lies. There is beauty, hope and warmth, you just have to be brave enough to embrace it.
